3.1 Manual entry formatting
All the entries we have seen thus far have been simple math objects. However, it is possible to change the format of an individual entry by using the form: * object arrows
|
This allows complete control over what object is placed in the entry, overriding any spacing and other conventions for the entry. This was how the frame was obtained in the figure in section 1.2.
A simple use of this is to insert text in entries using \txt
objects just like
labels as described above in section 2.2:
will typeset\xymatrix{ *\txt{A very long and stupid\\program} \ar[rr]^-{\txt{weird\\arrow}} &&*\txt<2pc>{Com\-pli\-cated\\Code}}
Exercise 16.
